Bloody Mary Recipe: The "Sunshine Mary"

Welcome to the "Sunshine Mary," a zesty reinterpretation of the classic Bloody Mary, showcasing the vibrant flavors of Atlanta Burns' Liquid Sunshine Daydream hot sauce. This lemon and scotch bonnet delight replaces traditional citrus elements, adding a sun-kissed heat that'll awaken your senses.

Ingredients:

- 2 ounces of premium vodka
- 4 ounces tomato juice
- 1 lime wedge
- A few drops of Atlanta Burns' Liquid Sunshine Daydream hot sauce (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- A pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- A pinch of celery salt
- Ice cubes
- Garnishes: celery stalk, lemon wedge, olive, etc.
- Optional: 1/2 to 1 anchovy, blended in to the tomato juice.  Start small on this one.  These guys are strong!

Instructions:

1. Mix the Base: In a mixing glass, combine the vodka, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and celery salt. Squeeze the lime in.

2. Add the Sunshine: Replace the traditional lemon juice with a few drops of Liquid Sunshine Daydream hot sauce.

3. Shake it Up: Fill the glass with ice and shake well. This ensures a well-chilled and harmonious blend.

4. Garnish with Flair: Pour the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with a celery stalk and a cherry tomato. Add a lemon wedge on the rim as a nod to the citrusy heritage.

5. Serve and Savor: Present your Sunshine Mary with pride. It's a drink that offers a refreshing, spicy journey, perfect for brunch or a bold start to your day.

Tasting Notes:

The Sunshine Mary strikes a perfect balance between the savory richness of tomato and the smooth depth of vodka. The Liquid Sunshine Daydream sauce introduces a vibrant citrus note.

Pairing Suggestions:

This drink pairs beautifully with brunch classics like eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, or a hearty omelet. The vibrant flavors of the Sunshine Mary can also complement lighter fare, like avocado toast or a fresh garden salad.

Deviant Behavior:

I like a bit of funk in my Sunshine Mary. To the above recipe, I add one anchovy per glass and blend that bad boy in. This adds a ton of body and richness to the drink.

Closing Thoughts:

The Sunshine Mary is more than just a drink; it's a celebration of bold flavors and innovative twists. With the Liquid Sunshine Daydream hot sauce taking center stage, this cocktail is sure to become a new favorite for those who love a bit of sunshine in their glass. Cheers to bright beginnings and fiery sips, and apologies about your hangover :)
